Starbucks Visits Stanton

Starbucks VIA Road Trip Episode 6: Iowa

A Starbucks caravan descended upon Stanton to include our water towers in Episode 6 as they trekked from Seattle to New York City. Here their crew considered adding their instant Via coffee to our Swedish water towers so we'd have plenty of their coffee to start our day, knowing our prior unwritten understanding was that Virginia Christine's brand (Folgers) would be the best part of waking up.

Starbucks was promoting their new instant coffee through their "YouTube" road trip webisodes. Stanton became episode 6 and has been viewed by some of the 50,000 who logged online to follow the Starbucks crew. People will learn about our friendly town because Starbucks stopped.

Thanks to Sue Stephens, Ross Rossander and all others who helped with the fun event that will likely let thousands more learn of our little community.

After a couple hours of filming at the towers and visiting over baked treats at the Swedish Cultural Center, the crew somewhat reluctantly left for Chicago.

Stanton made friends that day, and perhaps Starbucks Road Trip will turn their viewers into our visitors for a long time to come.

Listen to interviews by the local radio station (KCSI/KOAK Red Oak, Iowa) with Sue Stephens of Stanton and Steve Mallory of the Starbucks crew.
