The Stanton Community School District is located at the intersection of Elliott Street and Halland Avenue. The school facilities at this site include all grades, K-12. The Elementary School Building added to the facility in 1992. Certified enrollment during the 2007-2008 school year included 267.9 students with 71.4 of these being open enrollment students. The Stanton Community School District maintains a 0% dropout rate, 62% of the students have scored a 20 or higher on the ACT, and 96% of graduates attend postsecondary colleges. Graduates of the Stanton Community School District have completed four or more years of English and at least three years of Science, Social Studies, and Math. The school also offers approximately 20 advanced placement classes.
It is generally agreed that the school district is a catalyst to development and attracts population through open enrollment to the services of the community. This statistic is certainly a feature future business development would consider before locating in the community. However, overall certified enrollment in the district has been declining since 2000. This is a trend future business development will help to reverse.
